I’d like to thank Coven Editions for publishing four poems of mine, all apart of my ongoing project of poetic homages to graphic novels!

First up is “Now and Forever”, my homage to Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s Seminal “The Phoenix Saga”

Next, a poem I really struggled with, “Yes Father, I Shall Become”, my attempt to pay homage to Grant Morrison’s time on Batman — focusing on Bruce and Damian. Morrison is a huge influence on me, so this was a big struggle, but I’m really proud of it.

The third poem in this series, a homage to Jeff Lemire and Greg Smallwood’s 2016 run of Moon Knight. However, this poem should also be dedicated to Jeff Kirby, who gave me the final lines of this poem in a hug back in October.

Finally, in a slight departure (and I forgot to attach the dedication), this one returns to X-Men, but instead of focusing on narrative, this is an entirely ekphrastic piece dedicated to a cover of Dazzler by the legendary Bill Sienkiewicz
