March (again?) again – poems and nominations

Greetings from isolation! I can confess that I’ve been doing a terrible job keeping things up to date since the new year, but in fairness, I’ve haven’t really had that much to say other than “Work in progress”. But now I do have a few things to announce, so here I am.

Firstly, I am honoured to acknowledge support from the Canada Council for the Arts who have awarded me a grant in order to support my writing and the creation of my next book. I recognize both my fortune and privilege, and hope that readers enjoy my ideas as much as the arts councils!

Secondly, for my first publication of the year, I’m really proud to have my poem Asylum Saint Skies in the March 2021 edition of Deathcap via Coven Editions. This poem is something of a revival, as it is a piece that was originally slated for publication years ago in a venue that unfortunately went defunct before printing. this fall I took it out, dusted it off, and reworked it, and I’m really happy to have it out in the world.

Finally, my novella Visitation Seeds is eligible for an Aurora Award – which is the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association. If you read my novella, please consider it for the first year of novellas being eligible in their own category! If you haven’t read my novella, please consider reading it, all purchasing links can be found on the 845 Press catalogue.
