I’m Back! Upcoming Book announcement: What We See in the Smoke

Hello, world.

Is this thing on?

It has been almost an entire year since I last wrote a single blog post. I’ve been keeping things very tight-lipped, close to the chest. My thinking was that I should not discuss any ongoing projects that I wasn’t sure the world was going to see. So I vanished and waited to have something important to say.

So here it is! Announcing upcoming publications!

I am proud to announce that my new book tentatively titled What We See in the Smoke, was accepted for publication by Crowsnest Books, a new and exciting Canadian small press! My writing could not have found a better home. There are many people to thank for helping to get me to where I am now, and their names will be on the acknowledgements page I am yet to write.

This book is somewhere between a collection of short stories and a novel. I have been working on it for a long time, and I am so, so excited to share it with the world.

I have also taken over the editing of a book of Non-Fiction for Guernica Editions on a writer I hugely respect and admire, which will be out in a couple of years. I’ve been thrilled by this opportunity to work with amazing contributors on such a special project.

I will give more news on all my projects as news presents itself. Thank you all for reading!
