Human Expansions: Literary Worlds of Distributed Cognition

Yesterday, I had the honour and pleasure to serve on the “Posthuman Identity” panel as ap part of the HUGSA (Humanities Graduate Student Association) virtual conference: Designing the Self hosted by York University!

It was a facinating panel, and I’m glad I had the oportunity to share as well as to recieve, and since the conference was virtual, you can recieve as well! Each presentation has been uploaded to Youtube, so you can watch both parts of my “lecture”Human Expansions: Literary Worlds of Distribution right here:

Part One
Part 2

I’ve been able to share more of my research this past year than I expected too, and I hope that it has been of interest to those who like to think critically about the ideas that might be informing the SF on our shelves and screens.

This has been a hard summer for everyone, and I hope to deliver some distracting fiction to you all as soon as I can. I can’t wait to share more about my upcoming novella Visitation Seeds, and some of the other projects I’ve been keeping to myself for a while.

In the meantime, please stay safe, wear a mask!
